Management positions continue to bolster operations support initiatives for growing Charlotte, NC-based 3PL
CHARLOTTE, NC (June 28, 2019) – Bonded Logistics, an integrated provider of third-party logistics, has named James King to the position of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager and Cynthia Lewis to the position of Training Manager.
King brings over 25 years of safety experience and expertise to Bonded Logistics. Previously, he served as Southeast Safety Manager for McCarthy Tire from 2015-2019, where he was responsible for safety and training across 31 locations. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years in numerous safety-related roles for Kuhn Transport Group, a 700-person operation that was eventually acquired by Celadon in 2015. In his position as EHS Manager, King will focus on coordinating environmental health and safety programs consistent with established standards, regulatory, and client requirements.
“James comes to us with a diverse background in health and safety,” states Ryan Haas, Chief Financial Officer of Bonded Logistics. “He has worked with several major companies similar in size to Bonded where there was a commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. We look forward to him taking that knowledge, combined with what has been established, and making a big impact right out of the gate.”
Lewis has spent the last four years as EHS Manager for Bonded Logistics, where she was instrumental in establishing a strong culture of environmental health and safety across the company through a broad range of safety initiatives. She brings over 30 years of experience in training with companies such as DuPont, Coty, and Delaware Technical & Community College. In her role as Training Manager, she is responsible for developing and implementing blended learning programs to improve company performance by identifying training needs and developing training solutions.
“We’re extremely grateful for all that Cynthia did for us with safety,” adds Haas. “She showed tremendous talent with training when it came to developing a culture of safety across our network. We’re confident that she will take that same enthusiasm and energy to building out an extensive training program for the company.”
