Relaxing of COVID-19 Protocols
Our President and Owner, Scott Carr, shared the following information with our employees as the number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to decrease in geographic areas around our network.
Earlier this month, The Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to end indoor mask requirements for businesses on February 26, 2022. A few days later, NC Governor Roy Cooper released a statement encouraging schools and local governments to end their indoor mask mandates as COVID-19 metrics continue to move in the right direction.
With this information in mind, we have made the decision to remove the indoor mask requirement across our entire facility network beginning Monday, February 28, 2022. At this time, we will also discontinue temperature screenings upon entrance into buildings.
Employees and visitors will still have the option to wear a mask at their discretion moving forward. I would encourage everyone to be mindful of others as this transition could be hard for some as the threat of COVID-19 is still out there.
As a company, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases across the company and fully expect employees to continue to make HR aware of a positive test result. If case counts increase to unprecedented levels again, we will keep the option open to reinstate these COVID-19 protocols for the safety of our employees.
